Background

Nikolaus von Freiburg is the son of Badner immigrants and a staunch advocate for Badner independence.

Political career

He is the current chair of the FLP-Florida and a member of the national FLP committee. Although born in Montana, he moved to Florida later in life.

Von Freiburg has been involved in three campaigns: an unsuccesful run for the Senate, a succesful run to become the 2nd Governor of Florida, and a succesful run for the class III Senate seat for Florida. He later became the senior senator for Florida in 1964 following the loss of Senator Powers.
